From the Heart of the President
This is the year when the choice must be made by each believer in Jesus Christ - will our hearts be connected to God or man? God’s heart’s desire is that we fully trust Him so that we are not deceived by what we see in the world. There is a Kingdom culture that supersedes any other culture. God’s children recognize the difference. In God’s Kingdom, circumstances do not depress; we do not fear and our economy is driven by our faith. Our weapons are love, faith and hope which bring with it the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22); our armor of faith which is our shield, our helmet of salvation; our breastplate of righteousness; our loins girded with truth and our feet covered with the preparation of the gospel of peace, are our protections from evil and the rulers of darkness in these days. We can stand knowing that satan cannot penetrate the armor of God (Eph. 6:10-17). We can rest assured that the name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run in and are safe (Proverbs 18:10). Whenever our problems seem overwhelming, in the midst of our troubles, we turn to our rock Christ Jesus because He knows exactly what to do - He has the plan. He waits to help us to know how to face our difficulties – our response to God is: Jesus, nothing is impossible to You. No problem is too great for You so I can give You all my cares. Jesus has the power to change anything and He has the compassion to lift us up out of every impossible situation. The choice to believe God is ours. Our tests in these times are great and our hearts should be united with one mind – obedience. Anytime two or more of us come together to pray and seek God’s perfect will in Spirit, He is there with us. What a miracle. God stands in our midst covering us, leading us, protecting and comforting us by His precious Holy Spirit. Every week on Wednesdays, the national group meets for prayer. Our hearts are connected because our focus is Jesus Christ and the Spirit of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit guides our prayer time. Over the years, as Women of Purpose, International has sought and followed the direction of the Holy Spirit, miracles have happened; love kept us of every race, culture, denomination and social position. Even when the core group dwindled, transition occurred, and funds dwindled, our faith in the Vision of Reconciliation, Restoration and Renewal continued. There are testimonies of women in every state who have been touched by our Love Missions. We want women and the men of Pathway to Maturity to come together to give Praise to God for what He has done in each of our lives in this our 17th year, 2010. In October 2010, we will celebrate with our ‘Reuniting of the Hearts’ conference, in Portland, Oregon. In December 1993 we started in the Northwest, which from the natural eye, was the most difficult region to bring a united ministry of every race and ethnic group together in Reconciliation, Restoration and Renewal. God did it and the fruit of our obedience is great. This celebration will be a testimony of unity and love.
