Outreach Ministries
Women of Purpose, International works in many ways locally,
nationally and
internationally, often by connecting with others, coming alongside to
offer our gifts and abilities where needed.

International Outreach – Women of Purpose, Int'l began its international outreach in 2000 with the Children of Purpose School in Sierra Leone, followed by the Young People of Purpose Sewing Institute in Kenya. We provide support for children in Ethiopia through Project Mercy.
Women of Purpose Int'l also organizes International Mission Trips, taking funds, medicine and personal items to those who need them. Past destinations include Ghana, Kenya, Sierra Leone and Ethiopia. For information about International Mission Trips, 503-537-2070.
Women of Purpose, Int'l and Pathway to Maturity groups are in Sierra Leone, and Kenya.
Houses of Refuge and Blessings – It
is the desire of Women of Purpose, Int'l to establish houses across the
nation for women who, for one reason or another, need a safe environment
to grow in their Christian journey and become strong in the faith, providing a change
of lifestyle and protection from past negative influences.
Extended Family Institute – Teaching family as a model for solving organizational, communication and interpersonal problems, Dr. O.Virginia Phillips specializes in strengthening marriages and stabilizing families, particularly adopted, blended and cross-racial families. She is available for speaking and teaching engagements. Books and other resources are available.
Young Women of Purpose – Recognizing
the need to evangelize and train up the next generation of women inspired
this movement, in keeping with Titus 2:3-5, that older women should
teach the younger. It was created to serve the spiritual needs of young
women between the ages of 13 and 25 years, although is not strictly limited
to that age range. Young women are mentored by Women of Purpose, Int'l mentors who have been trained by Core Director Gloria Stidum, founder of Glorious Prophetic International Ministries.
Local Mentoring/Support Groups – These small, intimate, trust-building groups encourage prayer and worship and the study of God’s Word, as well as unifying the women and building friendships in the Spirit. They are groups interconnected through local leadership teams and regional facilitators.
Mentoring Certification Program – In October, 2006, Women of Purpose, Int'l added a certification program for Mentor Training. The program is based in Portland, Oregon.
Regional Prayer Renewals – As Women of Purpose, we are women of prayer, and have purposed in our hearts that we will build a foundation of prayer and that we will reach many souls for Christ. We are determined to stand in the gap and pray for our marriages and families, our churches and pastors, our country and its leaders, and countries around the world.
Connective Outreaches – Women of Purpose, Int'l connects with other ministries to pray and share resources for the purpose of encouraging and reaching more souls for Christ, such as:
Rhema House – Phyllis Featherstone connected with Women of Purpose, Int'l for prayer support as she traveled to Kenya to help raise funds for the Rhema House orphanage and school. Thanks to support from others, the orphanage has been able to move to a safer location and add an educational program for the children. Contributions are given through Women of Purpose, Int'l (a 501-c-3 organization) and all gifts are tax deductible.
Rose of Sharon Ministries connects with Women of Purpose, Int'l to financially support Project Mercy Ministries in Ethiopia. Each quarter the Women of Purpose, Int'l team sends school supplies and other items the children need.
Glorious Prophetic International Ministries connects with Women of Purpose, Int'l to mentor women to become ambassadors for Christ.
Heart to Heart Connection – A ministry for married couples who learn to live out their relationship based on Christ's commitment to His Church. (Ephesians 5:21-33)
PURPOSE – A quarterly publication of Women
of Purpose, Int'l, PURPOSE highlights the work of the ministry. It
is filled with interesting articles written by those who were part of our
mission trips, testimonies of women who were helped by Women of Purpose, Int’l whose lives changed for the better, and stories showing how we are connected – locally, nationally and internationally.
